HP Remote Integrated Lights Out (iLO) allows you to control ProLiant servers, which are located on a remote location by using a web browser. You can access any remotely located server without installing any additional software.
HP iLO can monitor the health and temperature of the server. It also monitors firmware versions and the status of fans, memory, the network, processors, power supplies, and internal storage.
When the server is not functioning, the System Administrator can connect to the Remote Insight Lights-Out Edition, and view the information that is critical to bring the server back up as soon as possible. However, critical information such as the hardware and software configuration information is still available to the user even if the server is not running.
Insight Diagnostics uses iLO to gather the Survey information from the host server. To view the Survey information, use your web browser to log on to the Remote Insight Board. Under the System Status, click Survey tab to view the Survey file.
