DOCA OFED Driver and Utilities [ConnectX-5 and above]


The DOCA-OFED repository contains HPE-signed drivers, libraries and tools for use with secure boot mode on HPE platforms, supporting the Nvidia BlueField networking platform in NIC mode and ConnectX adapters, in both Ethernet and InfiniBand modes of operation. It includes both kernel and user-space components.. The "Ethernet+RoCE" Linux drivers are already provided with HPE Service Pack for Proliant. For customers requiring complete InfiniBand functionality, install packages from DOCA OFED repository.

Note: DOCA-OFED supports the following chipsets:


  • ConnectX-5 Adapters
  • ConnectX-6 Adapters/Open ConnectX-6 Adapters
  • ConnectX-7 Adapters
  • BlueField-3 DPU Adapters in NIC mode

  • This software contains source code provided by Mellanox Technologies Ltd.


    MLNX_OFED has transitioned to DOCA-Host and is now available as DOCA-OFED. The last standalone release of MLNX_OFED is version 24.10-xxxx. Moving forward, all new features will be introduced in DOCA-OFED. It is an equivalent package of MLNX_OFED, providing the same functionality as MLNX_OFED and including the same kernel drivers, user space libraries, and management tools for Nvidia networking products. Users are encouraged to switch to DOCA-OFED as soon as possible to fully leverage the capabilities of NVIDIA network adapters.

    Important Notes:


    1) Version 2.10.0 corresponds to the DOCA OFED package, while the base mlx5 driver version is 25.01-0.6.0.


    2) Starting DOCA OFED version 2.10.0, ConnectX-4 adapter cards family is no longer supported.


    3) DOCA OFED 2.10.0 is compatible with the following adapter firmware:
