Failover Cluster Instance
Failover Cluster Instance, provides high availability that protects business against any hardware, software or infrastructure failures, by failing over the Microsoft SQL Server ® Instance from one node to another. SGLX Provides instance-level protection combined with a reliable shared storage infrastructure.
Always on Availability Groups or Availability Groups
Availability Groups offers you the ability to define and provide High Availability & Disaster Recovery at a Database or group of Database’s which are part of an Availability Group. It enables an integrated set of options including resource management, health monitoring and failure detection, as well as fast, automatic and manual failover of a logical group of databases.
